Ours is a conventional medical practice and we participate with most carriers. It is our objective to render care efficiently, effectively and without stress to patient or clinic personnel. Unfortunately, issues relating to insurance can potentially damage a cherished patient-practitioner relationship. Therefore, we have certain policies.

We do not accept referrals relating to accident or casualty, Workman's Compensation or Medicaid.

Payment is due at the time the service is rendered except when we participate with an insurer, then the co-pay is due at the time of the visit. It is the responsibility of the patient to obtain referrals when required by their insurance. This is very important because some of the HMO contracts prevent us from even seeing a patient without a referral and we may be obliged to turn a person away because of this problem.

We use a collection service to deal with accounts in arrears, including patient failure to obtain the proper referrals.
